Masahiro Chaen also spoke at the "GMO AI & Robotics Conference & Awards Ceremony 2025," which was held at the Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel on September 25, 2025. In the second part of the panel discussion, "AI Entrepreneurs Discuss the Cutting Edge of Future Business — A New Society Opened Up by Business x AI —," he participated alongside Takumi Usui, CEO of Michikusa Inc., and Takanori Ohno, CEO of Algomatic Inc., discussing AI technologies that deserve attention now and winning strategies for both corporations and individuals.

The conference featured appearances by leading figures from Japan and abroad, including then-Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, then-Minister of Digital Affairs Masaaki Taira, and NVIDIA founder/CEO Jensen Huang (via video message).

This year's appearance at the "4th GMO Conference - Autumn - Physical AI 2026" marks our second consecutive year speaking at the event. Last year, we discussed "How to transform AI into business" from an entrepreneur's perspective, but this year the stage expands to the real world. In addition to discussions from the AI development side, we will once again bring the perspective of building the human resources and organizations necessary to fully utilize AI in the workplace.

The "GMO Conference" is a large-scale conference hosted by the GMO Internet Group. This fourth conference will focus on "Physical AI," which involves implementing intelligence such as generative AI into the real world, such as robots, drones, autonomous vehicles, and manufacturing equipment.

With the evolution of generative AI, AI is evolving beyond simply processing information in the digital space to becoming a "moving" entity in the real world through robots, drones, and autonomous driving. This "physical AI" is attracting global attention as a next-generation industrial foundation, and competition for technological development and social implementation is accelerating in various countries.

On the other hand, Japan possesses world-class manufacturing strengths in areas such as robotics, precision machinery, and manufacturing technology. By integrating these technologies with AI, Japan has the potential to lead the world in the field of physical AI.

This conference will bring together leading figures from industry, government, academia, and other sectors, including government, universities, research institutions, and companies involved in physical AI. Under the theme of "Japan's Growth Strategy Envisioned Through Industry-Government-Academia Collaboration in Physical AI," discussions will focus on the necessary initiatives for Japan to lead the era of physical AI from the perspectives of industry, technology, policy, and human resource development.

Masahiro Chaen, Representative Director and CEO, Digirise Co., Ltd.

After studying abroad while attending Doshisha University, he gained experience in establishing a branch of a consulting firm and starting his own business in Shanghai. After returning to Japan, he worked in the human resources and social media marketing industries before co-founding the world's first Eat to Earn NFT game in 2022.
